Honoring Major (R) Eric King: A True War Hero and Advocate for Veterans

A Veteran’s Gig (AVG) proudly recognizes Major (R) Eric King, U.S. Army, for his unwavering service to our country and his continued dedication to the veteran community.

After being medically retired in 2016 due to combat injuries, Major King asked himself a critical question:
“How can I continue to serve?”

His answer was VetsWhatsNext (VWN), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing veterans with essential resources, employment opportunities, benefits, and more—all in one centralized location through its virtual platform and mobile app.

But Major King’s impact extends beyond the digital world. Through VWN, he has directly supported veterans in need by providing:
✅ Food and clothing assistance
✅ Academic scholarships
✅ Critical resource connections
✅ Mental health awareness events, including the Suicide Prevention 5K Walk-Runathon

A Well-Deserved Recognition

To honor his dedication, A Veteran’s Gig awarded Major King an all-inclusive trip for two to the Cancun HipHop Festival 2023—giving him a well-earned opportunity to relax and recharge.

AVG and VWN share a common mission: to uplift and support veterans beyond their military service.
